Help! Baby #4 needs a name!
| Sat, 06-26-2004 - 12:53am |
We are expecting baby #4 in early December. I have very few ideas for names. I would like the girl names to match with my two DD's (Lauren Olivia and Elaina Kate). Any ideas for a girls name would be appreciated. I am stuck. Nothing has really caught my attention.
My boy names have to be Bible names (DH's family used all Bible names, we agreed to Bible names for the boys.) My DS is Josiah Daniel. I like Jacob, but feel like I would be unhappy with how common it is. I also like Adam or Micah. But, is Josiah and Micah to much. We know many little boys with Bible names so many of the other ones I like are out (Isaac, Andrew, Joshua, Matthew, Jonah). I am looking forward to the responses. This board was a help as we named both of our DD's. You all seem to have such great ideas. I am open to any suggestions at this point. Thank you so much!

Good luck! I think lots of those names would fit. Some sound nice if you mix and match too.

I love Micah, and it's not terribly close in sound to Josiah.

Boys:
Of the names you listed, I like Adam. I like Micah, but only as a middle name, because believe it or not, I know more girls/women with the name than men! Which is sad, because I really only think of it as a male name. Here are some other Biblical name ideas:
Noah
Ethan
Samuel
Seth
Luke
Joseph
Peter
Philip
Gabriel
Nathan
Levi
Caleb
Timothy
Benjamin
Aaron
Elijah
Asher
Reuben
John
Jeremiah
Boaz
Jesse
Joel
Of all of these, my favorites with your childrens' names are Amelia, Julia, Noah and Caleb.

I also like Jeremiah, Levi, Timothy & Daniel. I would not recommend using the same "ah" ending for 2 boys (Micah and Josiah), but that's based on my own personal preference.
Your girls have pretty names ~ Lauren & Elaina ~ how about Hannah, Lydia, Rebekah, Emily, Sarah, Allison, Sophie/Sophia, Victoria or Elizabeth? Sorry I don't have a lot of suggestions ~ I always struggle with girl names!
Good luck picking the perfect name and congratulations on #4!

Best of luck.
