Help with baby names...

I am due June 12th. I know that is a long way away and I dont even know if its a boy or girl yet, But I like to get the names over with early! See, I always had the names Rachel Marie and Brantley Logan picked out. But now I'm not so sure. Rachel Marie- both names are very comman. It seems like every ones middle name is Marie these days. And Rachel is to close to my nameIMO, and I dont like the matchy-matchy names. (BTW my name is Reagan, my hubby is Brandon, and our daughter is Bethany). And Brantley Logan just is starting to not sound right to me. Our last name is Mims, so its not a difficult last name to work with. I like names that aren't very comman. But are cute and different, but not weird. If you ladies could help me out that would be so wonderful! Thanks in advance!

Reagan!
wife to Brandon!
mommy to our beautiful baby girl Bethany!
and baby #2!: EDD- 6/12/07

Congrats!! I know how exciting is to find out your pregnant and even more fun to think of names. Although it is very hard!! I am due April 7th, 07 and we are having a boy. We are in the process of figuring out a name. My husband and I had a list then we came down to nothing.........we cant agree or something. I had a few names picked out for girls before we found out we were having a boy. those were:

Natalie
Jenna
Leah
Taylor
Amy
Kylie
Kaitlyn Elizabeth
Kayla
Hailey
Hannah
Krista
McKenna
Ashtin
Kirstin
Alexa
Emily

some of those were my husbands choices as well. We have a short list now for a boy but the middle name we have picked out is Michael after my brother:

Tyler Michael.........my husbands choice
Caleb
Aaron
Benjamin
Corbin Michael........i like this i dont know why, its so different
Austin
Nicholas
Peyton
Landon
Ryan Michael

I hope i can help but i know its hard to decide.....let me know i can come up with more!!

I really like Rachel as a sister for Bethany. Do you have a reason for using Marie as a mn? It is kind of boring, but if it's a family name I would stick with it. I do suggest using a family name, but if you would rather not, how about:

Rachel Elise

Rachel Corinne

Rachel Camille

Rachel Evelyn

Rachel Alexandria

Rachel Marina

Rachel Sophia

Rachel Claira/Clara

Rachel Eliza

Although I Love Rachel, I really dislike Brantley Logan. Brantley and Bethany are too close for sibs IMO. I would avoid a B name, especially a B name ending in an -ee sound. It is too cutesy. I prefer Brant on its own, Brantley seems trendy, feminine, and made up. Not to mention Brantley Logan is too L heavy.

Here are some ideas as a brother or sister to Bethany:

Caroline Mims

Carly Mims

Charlotte Mims

Amelia Mims

Sophie Mims

Jane Mims

Courtney Mims

Eliza Mims

Alyssa Mims

Delilah Mims

Scarlett Mims

Daphne Mims

Sierra Mims

Gretchen Mims

Vivienne Mims

Hunter Mims

Gavin Mims

Griffin Mims

Finley Mims

Sebastian Mims

Nathaniel Mims

Milo/Miles Mims

Fletcher Mims

Simon Mims

Archer Mims

Asher Mims

Felix Mims

Silas Mims

Atticus Mims

Cassius Mims

Lucian Mims

My fave for b/g twins and sibs to Bethany are:
#1) Clara & Simon
#2) Caroline (nn Carly?) & Nathaniel
#3) Scarlett & Felix

WDYT?

Since there's a trend to give girls boy names and names with the -ley ending, I think it's good not to use Brantley.

Marie is not a family name. On my side of the family there arent any names that are tradition or whatever, but on Brandon's side, almost every Mims guy has the middle name or first name Ross. I don't want our son to have the first name Ross, but as a middle name would be nice. I really hope I don't have twins, that would be very hard, Bethany is only 6months so her and baby #2 are going to really closely together and so its going to be pretty hard anyways but with twins.. I cant even imagine. lol.

I like Holden, but Holden Ross(this is the middle name we want the a boy to have) doesnt sound right to me. actually now that I type those out I dont think that Holden would sound right with anything because it sounds like your saying "Holding Ross" or whatever. lol

Good Im glad i love the name McKenna too......i just sounds so nice!! A boy name is harder for me to decide....i guess because that is what i am having. Its just when we see him on the monitor and hes a person i just wish i had a name for him already. haha. Soon enough i tell ya, my hubby and i will agree!
