Help. Can't use mn Belle now...

My sister in law had a baby girl this morning and named her Emilia Belle (sister to Bronte Louisa).

If you recall, my 5 y/o asked to help name our baby and wanted the mn to be Belle. I really don't want our baby to have the same mn as a cousin. (We don't know if ours is boy or girl yet.) What are the odds of us picking the same name when we never discussed it??

So, we are searching for a new mn. The first names were Scarlett or Cassidy, but we have now decided to go with Cassidy. We love Scarlett, but it doesn't flow as nicely with our other daughters names.

Choices:

Cassidy Paige (my hubby dislikes Paige but is my favourite)

Cassidy Lee (my name Lisa, MIL Lyn, Mother Liz)

Cassidy Grace

Can't think of any other and want something one syllable and more traditional to match other girls names.

Any ideas?

Lisa
Mum to Mackenzie Beth & Charli Rose (#3 due 03/06/06)

PS Thanks for your suggestions previously on mn for Cooper. Still in deliberation. Going off the name a bit now though....

Aww, too bad... I really love Scarlett, Cassidy just seems so plain next to it. But for a mn, I like Cassidy Faye a lot.

How about Cassidy Blaire, Cassidy Brooke or Cassidy Brynn? Since they start with the same letter as Belle, maybe your daughter would feel as though she had a part in picking it.

Other ideas:

Cassidy Raine
Cassidy Leigh (like this spelling better for girls)
Cassidy Shae
Cassidy Hope
Cassidy Faith
Cassidy Rae
Cassidy Lynne
Cassidy Elle (just leave off the B - and you have a whole new name)
Cassidy Jane

I also like Cassidy Paige.

If you really dont want to use the mn Belle why dont you use something very similar so that way it will still sound similar and your daughter can feel like she was a part of naming the baby. Two close options could be Cassidy Bella or Cassidy Brielle. Personally though if you babies mn and your neices mn are the same I dont think its a big deal, first names would be but not mn. Maybe your baby and your neice will be close friends, and I bet they would love to share a middle name. I would of loved to with my cousin, having the name middle name as someone always makes you feel connected to that person. Hope this helps.
