HELP! Due soon..alliteration opinions?

I need some unbiased advise! My DH and I just happen to love 2 names that begin with "W". The names are Will and Wyatt. The problem is that our last name begins with W. What are your thoughts on alliterative names? I really like both of those first names, but I some how am having trouble getting past the W-W sound. (last name is Whalen)
Any thoughts are appreciated.
Thanks! Susan

It's alot worse to end a name with the same letter as the beginning of the last name (my husband - Russ Sherman , it sounds like his name is Rush.)
Good luck!

If it really continues to bother you, two ways to downplay it would be: 1. A double name- John Wyatt, Jack Wyatt, Luke Wyatt, Jake Wyatt 2. Using Wyatt for the mn (assuming you could find a fn you love as much)
Here are some Wyatt/Will-type names you might warm up to- Shane, Drew, Keegan, Phillip, Nathan(Nate), Stefan, Spencer, Finley(Finn), Dominic(Nic), Vincent, Victor, Ramsey
Also, if you're really in love with Will, which is a little much with Whalen in my honest opinion, maybe you could do William Whalen and call him Liam instead.
Best wishes, and keep us posted! Ginger
I believe someone else mentioned using a variation of the name, such as William or Liam for Will, to avoid the double W's ... I think that would be a good idea (although William still presents the W problem, but it doesn't sound quite as bad). Liam is actually a shortened form of William, so even if you named him Liam you could call him Will yourself (and still avoid the two W's on a daily basis).

So, in my view, it's complicated! Good luck!
We have a W last name and like Westley as first name...but we put it aside as well...also because we want DH's name, Christopher as middle name and WCW already means something else to a lot of people (World Championship Wrestling).
Jarett Whalen sounds nice and has similiar feel as Wyatt.
I also like
Clint Whalen
Cooper Whalen
Garrett Whalen
Marshall Whalen
Tucker Whalen
