Help with girl name

Hello ladies,
I want to name my baby girl using my husbands initials. His name is Michael Dean. I've invented MIKENNA (pronounced McKenna) DEANNE. He says it sounds like "Roseanne Roseanna Danna" from the SNL skit! What do you think???

Maybe something like Mikell or Mykell Dori or Deena. Help me out on a boy name, a first name for Lealand (middle name) Loosli (Last Name)

Although I am a huge fan of using family names, I think Mikenna Deanne is a bit much. I wouldn't make BOTH names after her dad as it is just too matchy. Deanne seems awfully masculine, I would scrap that altogether. I'm sure he's a great guy, but it seems a bit odd. Mikenna is misspelled completely and doesn't seem to be after Michael at all. I think you need to re-think this idea!!

The obvious choice if you want your daughter to be after Michael is Michaela:
MICHAELA
Gender: Feminine
Usage: English, German, Czech, Slovak
Feminine form of MICHAEL

It is pronounced the same as McKayla, but spelled properly. Are there any other family members that you would like to honour? I do love the idea of using family names, but I think both names after a single person is too similar. Michaela is a very popular name right now (like Makenna) so I would probably use it as a mn.
I hope you see my point and decide against 'Mikenna Deanne'! I think there are nicer options out there for you.

I'm sorry to break it to you, but you haven't invented Mikenna Deanne in the least. Mikenna is one of the various misspellings of the trendy name McKenna. Not unique at all. Also, it loosely translates to "son of Kenna/Kenneth," so it would seem a bit odd in your case, since you're trying to use it to honor your dh ... Michael. LOL

Deanne, also, is a real, feminine name. It's a feminine form of Dean (you're not the first to think this up ) and is pronounced dee-ANN.

If you want the name to be for your dh, Michaela Deanne is lovely! Michaela is a properly-spelled feminine form of Michael, and sounds very much like "Mikenna" without having the same problems.

I don't care for it.

How about one of these names beginning w/ Mi...

Mia
Michaela
Mila
Milan
Miranda
Mira
Misha
Michelle

I also prefer Diane or Diana over Deanne.

Mia Diane sounds very nice.

I think the big thing to remember is that it doesn't really do any good to try to honor someone through a name if they don't like it. Having said that...Mikenna Deanne really isn't to my taste, either, and you might find using something that close to his name gets a little stale and/or confusing as your daughter gets older. Also, you might want to leave room for similar sentiments for future children.

IMO, invented names are a bad idea about 99% of the time. And if your husband doesn't even like it, I don't see the point. How about Michelle Deanne? Or you could go with Michaela though it's in that Mck* group for girls that is completely overdone.

I agree with PP that Michaela is a nicer name.

I don't care for it...but then again, I don't like McKenna and misspelling it only makes it worse to me. I'd keep looking.

As pp's have mentioned, you didn't invent either of these names. Deanne is a real name and Mikenna is just spelt wrong. I love Deanne, it seems fresher than Diane and isn't overly popular. I would go w/ McKenna if you stay w/ that name, but since your husband doesn't like it maybe keep looking for a different M name.
