Just a quite note, but you might want to be careful about the masculine or unisex names with a ln that's also a recognizable male nn. While Emerson Lilly (to use a similar, but feminine-sounding ln) sounds like a girl, Emerson Willey makes the name seem even more masculine, KWIM? Just something to keep in mind.

Something I noticed about Siena...

When you say Siena Willey all together, it sounds like a phrase- "seein' a willy" that may be unpleasant when she gets older. Just a thought!

I voted for Morgan.

There are SO many boy names on this list that I had to go back and check to make sure that this was a poll for a girl's name. Right away, I crossed off Jordan, Emerson, and Ryan...because they are BOY names. Then went Seneca because it reminds me of Senecot--a laxative. I don't like Siena, partially because it's spelled wrong and partially because it's a name that I have trouble picturing on a person above the age of 4.

So that left Alexa and Morgan, either of which is nice. Morgan is more unisex, so if girl Morgan has male siblings, I'd be sure to give them names that are NOT adrongynous (i.e. no boys named Avery) because I'd be confused as to which was the boy and which was the girl.

In the end, my vote went to Morgan. I like Alexa fine, but with the right middle name, Morgan can really stand out.

Thank you for such a thorough response!

And FYI, I decided based on other postings not to go with Siena... but it IS spelled correctly (since we would be naming her after the city in Italy, not the color!!!).

That's good you specified about Siena. Although, truthfully, when I hear the name, I think neither of the color nor of the city--I think of the minivan. So, I'm glad you've decided against it.
