Okay for this whole pregnancy my husband and I have been unable to agree on a girls name. We have four that we both like but I think it is more like two he really likes and two I really like! I'm worried that she won't have a name when she is born! Any ideas on what you have tried with your DH. And another question we both like the name Livia, which means "crowned one" But I keep thinking that it sounds like we just forgot to say O, and that it is to close to olivia?!?!?! Maybe I'm just losing it, anyway I would appreciate any advise!!!

Thanks, Julia 8/23

I agree with Peggy's posting. We took three names to the hospital and said each one in front of the baby. She picked her own name. And today, she seems to fit her name instead of us trying to fit a name on her...

I think Livia is beautiful. We actually have narrowed girls down to four names and Alivia is one of them. People have told me that people will misspell or misprounce all the time if we do that, but who cares, then we'll correct them. We love the idea of a nn of Livie or Liv, and i wanted something just a little different then the popular Olivia. I think Livia is a great name..... do what you want, don't worry about other people.

Yes you must rely on your gut feeling. Livia is a very pretty name.

I happen to love the name Livia, as well as Olivia, Alivia, and Liviana. I think Livia by itself is more heard of now than it used to be, so you could get away with it. It sort of sounds like Lydia, which has no "O". So, I think it works. If this is the one you both like, I'd use it! Here are some mn suggestions:

Livia Rose

Livia Lane

Livia Grace

Livia Bethany

Livia Suzanne

Livia Elise

I have a 5 and a half year old son who was a John Doe for 3 days in the hospital b/c we could NOT pick a name for him. We did not know the sex of the child so we had boy and girl names picked out, the boy names being Dean, Louis or Mitchell, well when he was born he did not look like any of those names and we could not commit to them. Long story short............he was born on Columbus Day and he looked like a Kristopher so we decided on that and I can only tell you that you cant freak out over it something will come to you both when you see that beautiful face staring at you and it will just click. By the way.......they dont let you leave the hospital w/o naming the child (LOL) so you have to pick something and I am sure it will be something you BOTH love!!! FYI...a friend of mine named her son Max at birth and several weeks after he was born they decided tp change his name to Sean .so even that is possible IF you hate the name!! good Luck!!!

When I was pregnant with my daughter, I started writing down names on a piece of paper. Also, my husband and I agreed that he could pick the middle name and I could have the first name. What we came up with was Brigid (after my Aunt) and Maureen (after his sister). Brigid Maureen

I think you should choose a few different ones and when you see the baby I'm sure you'll know what to name her. When my son was born we both agree on Gabriel but we didn't have a middle name and when we saw him we thought of Edward, and his name is Gabriel Edward. We both like it.

Here is how my parents got my name. My grandma die a long time before I was born and when I was born my dads aunt said "Orcibia was born" that was my grandmas name and my dad said ok, that will be her name it sounds more like Orsivia, I have no idea what it means or where its from and even though I have to correct people most of the time when we meet I love my name. So good luck and I know you guys will pick the right name.

Orcibia.
