Roman is a pretty masculine name for a woman, IMO. I do think Brinley works well with your other two girls. HTH!!!

I think the name Roman Brinley Bai on a girl is hideous. Roman is masculine. Brinley is contrived and silly. Bai?? What is Bai??

What exactly is feminine about Emerson?? Addison?? Drew?? Good heavens, people. What is wrong with everyone?? Don't people realize that by the time these pwecious wittle giwls get to grade school that the name "Beth" will be unique and unusual because every other girl in their class will either be female with a male name or Neveah (which they will INSIST is Heaven backwards and that they made up themselves?)??

Umm.. mcnamer112, I think (unless I'm mistaken) that the initial poster meant to say that "Bai.." is the beginning of her last name, so that the child's name would be Roman (fn) Brinley (mn) Bai___. And, everyone's entitled to their opinion, but I think there's an appropriate way to express it. Some people prefer more unisex names on girls, that's just the way it is. Just like you wouldn't get angry because someone's personal taste was vanilla ice cream over chocolate, I don't think the whole unisex vs. traditional name debate needs to get so heated. Civilized discourse is a beautiful thing.

Anyway, getting to the point of the original post: I do think Roman is pretty much a male name. I would suggest Rowan (which has become popular among girls, at least with celebs) or Romy as alternatives. Or even Regan.

I do agree with the previous poster that Brinley fits in with your other children's names. I really like just Brynn, too.

Hope this helps!

Roman's a boy's name, Brinley is just blah and Bai is a Chinese boy's name. I'd try, try again.

I certainly hope I am mistaken and that Bai... is the surname. If so, please accept my apologies.

Here's a suggestion for the Roman name: why not spell it Romynne? I believe I read on one of the naming boards that adding a Y to just about any name makes it feminine.
