If you want the K capitalized, I'd go with a "Mc" beginning rather than a "Ma" beginning. When using a Scottish name, the "Mc" or "Mac" at the beginning is often offset because Mac and Mc mean "son of" or "child of". In Scottish, that is never abbreviated "Ma" so a name that starts with "Ma" has a different meaning and is never offset the same way, so it looks very strange to me to see the K capitalized in that case. If you'd rather use an Americanized spelling (one that starts with "ma"), I'd leave the K lowercase: Makinley, Makinlea, etc.

I voted for McKinley since that is probably the most traditional spelling and the one that looks best to my eye. Makinley would be my second choice.

My DD's name is Kenlie. I got it from seeing the name Kinley once. When it's spelled Kenley, it's a boy's name which means the same thing as my name Kimberly (king's meadow or royal meadow). We altered the spelling from Kinley to Kinlie (-ie, since I have a Katie), but didn't like all the "i's", so we changed it to Kenlie. Just Kenlie, Kinley, Kynlee, etc. would go great with Kaelyn (BTW, I have a niece named Kaylin).
