Help.. Need unusual name

Hey everyone. I'm new to this board... My husband and I just found out that we're expecting. YAY! It's our first, so we're really excited. We have decided not to find out what the sex will be... if it's a boy, he will be a III, so that's easy. We need an unusual girls name. My name is Summerlyn (pronounced Summerlen, not summer-lynn), and my husbands is Damin. I want an unusual girls name b/c I liked being different growing up. Name must go w/ last name of Gwin.

Any suggestions???

Summerlyn

Well Im always getting comments on my daughter's name being different, her name is Shailey (pronounced SHY-LEE) and we usually just call her Shai, although later I wished I'd spelled it Shylee because everyone tends to say SHAY-LEE, until I correct them. One I really love for this pregnancy but I cant get my fiance to warm up to it is Charisma, he likes more common names which is so not my style. For boys I have always loved either Davian, or Jamian, although I've actually heard Davian used a couple times lately. When I was small my name was different too, although not anymore, but I always loved being unique and want to pass that on so I know where your coming from. ~Good Luck, I hope you find the perfect name. ~Kayla

Forgive me, but most of these names sound like a weird foreign booze. I am fairly sure that I have ordered those, on the rocks, after dinner in Italy, France, or Germany.

I grew up with an unsual name and I hated it. No one ever pronounced it right and I've spent my life correcting people and then having to spell it. No kid ever likes being 'weird' or different. I gave both of my kids traditional names and both said they always liked it because no one ever made fun of them and they never had to correct a teacher's pronounciation or spell their name. If a kid decides later that he wants a weird name he can always go with a weird nickname. But to saddle a little kid with a weird name is very difficult, particularly before they can spell it.

I don't trust tahat site cause I'm swedish and the swedish names are partly wrong.

For example : Bo is a boy name in sweden not girlname.

Bergern are surname. Burr is not swedish. carson not swedish..

Denholm is a surname, Fisk means fish and is a animal not a name .

Jaythen not swedish , never heard of it. Trind ist a word and it menas plum or chubby..

ANd it goes one.. and some named we don't use in sweden any more.
