Help! Running out of girl names....

My husband and I have four daughters; Gabriela, Victoria, Laura and Sarah. We thought Sarah was the last one we'd have, and thought she'd be a little different with the silent H at the end. Now, we're pregnant with our fifth, and although we don't know yet if its a girl, we are having a hard time coming up with names! We think we want to keep the 'a' sound at the end but can't seem to agree. My husband likes Ana which I think is boring (no offense meant to anyone!), and I like Helena (pronounced Ha-lay-na; my husband says people will pronounce it Helen-a). I like Paula & Paulina, but my husband's name is Paul and he feels people will think we desperately wanted a boy and named our girl after him! Anyway, are there any suggestions you can make? Nothing too different nor too common, ending in 'a'.... Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Hmmm ... with your sib set I really like Ava, Alexa, Emma & Savannah. Aubrianna, Alanna & Hannah would be cute also.

What about something like Juliana, Adriana (ahd-ree-AH-na) or Diana (I knew a little girl with the dee-AHN-a pronunciation)? You've got the -ana ending, so dh could call her Ana if he wanted, but she'd also have a longer, not-so-boring option. ;)

Anabella would work - you could call her Ana, Bella or the full name.

I also like:

Hannah
Daniella
Rebecca
Alaina (similar to Helena - but without the pronunciation issues)
Gemma
Corinna
Lydia
Ariana
Marissa
Miranda
Alicia

Best of luck to you!

I LOVE Helena! It's on our short list, and I agree w/ you on the pronunciation that you will most likely encounter in the U.S.

I think I'd like Paula or Paulina better as a mn to honor your husband.

What about a longer An- name that you could use Ana as a nn for, like: Anabel or Anastasia? Or even a double name like Ana Claire or Ana Jane.

Other suggestions:
Mattea (I really like this one)
Cecilia
Isabella
Georgia
Daniela
Natalia

Good luck!

ETA: Annika is also a nice option, w/ the Ana nn possibility.

I love Sabrina.

I also like the double name idea using Anna-_______ (Grace, Clare, Jane, Paige, etc)

In my opinion, I don't think you necessarily need to stick with the -a ending for continuity.

My mom had four girls and then a boy, maybe you will too!!
