I really like southern or old timey kind of names like Emma, Ella, Lilly....Does anybody have any other suggestions that aren't so common? I also am a huge fan of double names but can't really think of any! PLEASE SEND HELP!

A quick message to grantson-

I posted a discussion weeks ago about giving my daughter, my grandmother's maiden name. She came from a very large southern family (Atlanta, Georgia). The family name is Noble and I love it and thought about naming my daughter due in March "Noble Elizabeth." The replies that I received on the discussion poll were VERY negative. I think maybe two people liked it - others thought it was a joke or presumptuous. Then I saw your reply about southern names poll and realized maybe it is just a southern tradition. I would love your opinion since you seem to share my view point.

Thanks-

Hello,

I am from the South, and I knew many girls with "double names". Most of them were "Mary-something"...Mary Carol, Mary Susan, Mary Marshall, Mary Katherine. I loved all of them!

Not sure if you are wild about the name Mary, but it goes well with many different names.

My DD is Alydia, but a different version, Lydia is an old name. I also like Scarlett and Victoria.
