I would have voted for Braden, which is the more authentic spelling (at least if you want it pronounced "bray-den"), but it wasn't an option. Of the alternative spellings ...
I would avoid Brayden and especially Bradyn, in light of the current "add a random Y anywhere" trend. It just automatically makes the name look misspelled.
Braiden more closely follows the "Aidan" names trend (especially since Aiden is the most common misspelling, so technically this would be "Aiden with a Br-"). This also begins with the actual word "braid," so it would a good bet if you want to ensure a bray-den pronunciation.
I like Braden. I've never seen it spelled that way. This was the only name out of about 100 that my husband likes. We are having such a tough time coming up with names. We are still not 100% sure on this name yet though. We're trying to come up with a good middle name but, of course, we're stuck on that too.
I prefer Braden (boy), I do not like it when people like a name but try to make it unique w/ spelling. I did not vote b/c I did not like any of those spellings. I do not like the name for a girl so I would not know how to vote for that either. Good Luck!
Since you're not sure, I will add that Braden (no matter what the spelling) is horribly trendy right now and many people, myself included, are just tired of the name. I think if you ask opinions on the name, you will get some thoughts that might sway you from using the name. Not only does it fall under the Aiden trend (Aidan/Braden/Caden/Jayden/Hayden/Zaden, I even heard of a Trayden!), it is going unisex. It just isn't a great name IMO. Sorry if this is discouraging. I prefer Brennan or Brenner.
No! It's not discouraging! It's actually very encouraging! We are just having such a hard time with a name that ANY advice is welcome!! We are at such a complete loss. Braden was just the only name off of about 4 different lists that my husband even remotely liked. I'll definitely add Brennan and Brenner in the pot and see what he thinks.
My biggest issue is trying to get my husband away from passing down his name (he is already a junior which would make our son "III"). It would be fine but I can't think of what would we call my son. My hubby is "Donald Eugene" and he goes by Donnie. I'm not calling my son Don, Donald, Eugene or Gene and my husband doesn't like any nicknames associates with "III" (like, Trey or Tripp). I just don't know what to do.

Braeden looks too forced, IMO.
