Help! What to do?!?

I need you guys' help. We have a 4 year old daughter named Sydney. We are expecting boy/girl twins in a few weeks, but because of PTL it could be any day now. We have decided the boy's name will be Jake, but there is trouble concerning the girls name.
My husband ADORES the name Camille. He wants to shorten it to Cami. For the past few weeks or so I have said "if it means that much to you we can call her that." But deep inside I just don't really like that name. It isn't a BAD name, but it just isn't my "style" and I don't think it goes well with Sydney. I like names that are a little different. I have tried and tried to get used to it and accept it, but I am just really having a hard time, especially since delivery is getting so close.
At this point do I just go with Camille because my husband loves it so much, or do we really need to talk about this some more? I just don't know if this is something that is worth arguing about, especially since I don't HATE the name. It just doesn't sit well, you know?
By the way, the middle name will be Grace after my grandma. That one is for sure! ;)
PLEASE, PLEASE any help and advice would be greatly appreciated! I have no one else to talk to about this!!!!

Thanks so much!
Michelle

Personally, I love Camille nn Cami BUT this is not my child. I think you need a name that you and your dh both love. I would keep searching until you find one you

I like Camille, nn Cami, but wanted to give you one word of warning. I have a 12 year old DD who just started needing a bra. In our area (Boston) girls her age no longer wear "Bras" they wear camisoles (like tank tops with shelf bras built in). They call them camies. Styles may change by the time your baby reaches that age, but I just wanted to you to aware of the current lingo.

Hi, Michelle!

I think it's worth talking to your DH about again! This is your child's name that you will bless her with for the rest of her life! Make it one you both LOVE LOVE LOVE equally. :-)

My husband and i went through the same thing with deciding my sons name. The way i look at it, as long as one of you doesnt feel like the name feels or sits right, then maybe its time to look at different options. You have sydney, and want your son to be jake. Decide how yu came up with those two names and expand from there. I dont want to suggest any names because its not my child and my opinion does not count. Just go for what name you and your husband feel is the PERFECT and FITTING name. Good luck!

Congratulations on your twins!
I think Camille is lovely, but if it's the nickname your dh loves, maybe there are other routes to it that would be more your style. I love Camilla, or I think Cameron/Camryn goes quite well with Sydney. My dh and I are struggling to find the perfect name right now too - but I think it is out there!

Thank you all for your advice!
I casually mentioned it to him last night, and he said he would start thinking of other names, but he looked really disappointed. We'll have to see what happenes.
Thanks again, you guys are great!

I am glad you talked to you DH again about the name issue. You mentioned that you thought his feelings were hurt, how about a compromise????

You could come up with another first name that you both like and use Camille as a second name and then if you change your mind later on.....she could still go by Cami.

I think a beautiful name would be Jordyn Camille.....and it goes with Jake and Sydney.

My daughters are Rebecca Leigh (Becca) and Brittany Jade

Good Luck with whatever choices you make......
