My husband and I are trying to pick out a boys name I like Ethan Micheal, and he wants Thaddaeus Herraishieo.... (I know I have spelled the middle name wrong).

I can handle Thaddaeus but the middle name is not for me. What do you think about this name?

Does he mean Horatio (huh-RAY-shee-oh)?

I like Thaddeus, but Thaddeus Horatio is too over the top for me.

Do you mean Horatio?

Horatio is an interesting name but it is pretty old-fashioned/uncommon... a much more exotic choice than your name picks, so it seems like it is outside your comfort zone.
Maybe Thaddeus Michael or Thaddeus Ethan would be a good compromise.

I'm on your side - you're not the only one who wouldn't know how to spell both Thaddeus and Horatio.

I think it's Herashio. Is there Japanese background in your family?

I think if there is, then that's fine. My children all have a Japanese mn, (Hisao, Reiko)
but they also have american mn. Ex. my ds is Kellan Troy Hisao Akiyoshi -- wow long name I know, but it's just the tradition in their dads family to have the japanese mn.

I also like Ethan a lot - maybe you could choose the first name and your dh picks the mn?
