Well, I always say heh-zeh-KYE-uh..........but I have no idea if I say it right. Pretty big name for a little one to carry around.

I have never heard the name before, but going on sight alone, I would say:

Huh-ZEKE-ee-uh (similar sound as Ezekial)

I would say. He-Zee-KEY-ah

I dont know if I would use it as a first name. Only because people are right its an awful big name for a little one to carry around.

How about using it as a middle name instead?

Hmm, I'm not sure, I guess either

1. Hez-ee-kee-uh

2. Hez-eh-kye-uh

I would have suggested just #1, but I think that is just influenced by the pronunciation of "Ezekiel". But I guess Hezekiah would follow the pronunciations of names like Zachariah or Isaiah...in which case I guess it should be pronounced as suggested in #2.

Best of luck to you!

I would agree that it should be He-zeh-KYE-uh. I think Zeke would be a great nickname!

Hez-uh-KYE-uh, with the stress on the Kye, is the way I have always heard it pronounced. Though I can't tell you who I've ever heard say it. It's certainly not very common. But I'm pretty sure that is the correct pronounciation.

I think that's right! I think Kiah would be a cute nn. Just a suggestion!

I agree with most of your poster - heh-zuh-KYE-uh is the pronunciation I know. I like its uncommonness - don't be discouraged by detractors ... use it if it feels right.

I couldn't even begin to guess how to pronounce it or what goes with it. In my book, that makes it a "no". But good luck to you, if you like it.
