what do you think of Honor Zofiya as a name? (Zofiya is the family name not middle name)
also like spelling Honar which is persian and means virtue or skilled. No idea what our last name means, lol. I've been told it doesn't flow, but some people are quite favourable. I like the name Honor because i think it sounds very strong.

I love it. I like the British spelling, Honour, better though.

I really, really like the name Honor. It would be in the top part of our list if I could get my husband to go for it. It's such a solid, strong name and it sounds so nice.

I don't worry so much about the flow of a name, because different people seem to have different opinions about what flows well. If it sounds good to you, go for it. People will adjust.

I had to write to you to put my .02 in on Honor. I've been collecting name most of my life. Honor is my longest-running favorite. I think it's the loveliest girl name of all! The very idea behind it is elegant, strong, and inspiring. I prefer Honor sp. just to simplify things. Good luck, Ginger

Sorry to say I don't really care for it, but then I don't care for virtue names in general. What if Faith is an atheist, Charity is stingy, Chastity is -- well -- less-than-chaste. LOL You get it. Also, Honor sounds very close to "on her" and I'd be afraid of some serious teasing potential there. I wouldn't mind it as much as a mn, but as a fn I have to say no. Apparently I'm alone in that, though, because I've read the other responses and they seem quite positive. I do think the flow with your ln is fine, however.

Speaking of which, I'm sure you've already thought of this but Zofiya definitely looks like a variation of Zofia, a form of Sophia, and would thus mean wisdom.

I love the name Honor. My 21 month old's name is Honor Genevieve and I couldn't be happier with her name. As far as the reactions of other people, it is the type of name people either love or hate. If you decide to use it, just be prepared for reactions from both extremes. My MIL swore she was going to call the baby, Ginny, but never has. She is Honor through and through.
