Raleigh, is it said exactly like Rally? Is it a girls name only? Or a boys only?

To me, Raleigh is a boys' name more than a girls' name. It automatically makes me think of the city, and Bill Murray's character in The Royal Tenenbaums. It is definitely pronounced RAH-lee (RAW-lee).

Rally could be a nn for Rafaela/Raphaela. I also like a pp suggestion of Geraldine.

A bit of a stretch, but I could see Rally as a nn for:

Aurelia, Auralia
Lorelei
Allison, Alice

Well I'm from NC and the capital is pronounced Rah-lee. With a long "a" sound and not short. Does this make sense? The city and Sir Walter Raleigh were not pronounced "rally", but I can see why people would think so from just reading it. I think it could be for a girl or boy. Probably people would think male at first, but it does have a feminine sound with the "leigh". Hope this helps!

Aurelia can be pronounced o-REEL-ya or o-RAIL-ya.

Auralia is usually pronounced o-RAIL-ya (long A, like in Dale).

It's actually pronounced like "rah - lee." I've never heard it as a girl's name before, but your baby could be a trendsetter!!!
