The name looks so pretty and I tend to pronounce it "keer-uh" but is that correct?

I've only ever seen/heard it as keer-uh, as you mentioned ... just like Keira Knightly, if you're familiar with her. :) I actually grew up with a few girls with this name, and always thought it was nice. Still think so now, years later, so I guess it's one of those names with lasting value! :) HTH

Keira is a lovely name and is on my list! I say it Kheer-a (said to rhyme with HEAR-a - that's what I mean with the h - a slight hah sound with the K).

However, to me, the names on the previous post are different. I pronounce them:

Kyra - KEYE-rah (like eye)
Kira - as above
Kierra - Kee-AIR-ah
Kiera - Kee-EER-a
Keira - KHEER-ra
Ciara - Kee-ARE-ah

These are just my opinions and pronounciations though!

HTH!

That's how I'd pronounce it.

That's odd, all the names you listed don't look like the same name to me.

Kyra - I'd say Kye-ruh
Kira - again Kye-ruh
Kierra - Key-air-uh like Tierra
Kiera - Keer-uh
Keira - Keer-uh
Ciara - See-air-uh like Tierra
