How many Charlotte's?
| Thu, 05-18-2006 - 5:08pm |
My DH has added Charlotte to our list. I really like it, and also like the fact that we could use Charlotte Evelyn (his grandma's name). I'm almost positive that this will become one of the next "big" names. That would be the only thing that would keep me from using it. Just wondering how many Charlotte's you know and what their ages are? Also, just to compare it to a name that I loved at one time, how many Ava's do you know? Thanks!!

If you think Charlotte might be getting too popular, what about Evelyn Charlotte instead? You could use the nn Evie or even Linny, which is very cute. But I still love Charlotte Evelyn, so maybe I'm no help.
One story that may be of interest: I spoke with an old college friend this week and her sister's name is Charlotte. I mentioned that Charlotte is getting to be quite the popular name. She was surprised and responded, "Even with the horrible nickname potential?" Apparently, her sister had a tough time in middle school and high school being called "Charlotte the Harlot." And she was just a smart, quiet girl who wore glasses and kept to herself. She was traumatized to the point that today, in the business world, she uses her middle name. !!!!
I personally don't care for Charlotte, but I do like Evelyn, but I like Evelina more. I dont know any Avas or Charlottes in my area.
The thing is, I have a name I really love that my sister -in- law hates and I kind of feel like, you should name your baby whatever YOU want. I don't want to let my sister -in- law make me NOT name my baby a name I LOVE because she hates it, did that make sence?
