Dh and I have decided on a name for our daughter due in June, but we cant decide on a spelling. Please tell me which one you like and why. Kaitlyn or Kaytlin? Her middle name will be Edyth.
Thanks,
Kacie

In the case that it is a family name, I really like it. I think it is really great how you use family names as mn's, it really adds meaning. Because of that "y" in Kaytlin/Kaitlyn, if I were you, I would consider spelling it Kaitlin or Caitlin to balance it out. Having a "y" in both names looks a bit off. Maybe it is because many parents stick random y's in their kids names to make it more unique, I'm not sure (ex. Madisyn, Addisyn, Eryn, etc.) I know you said you want all the girls to have a "Y" in their first name... but why is that important? It looks a lot better the other way. Kaitlin or Caitlin Edyth is very pretty, and I find these spellings to be softer looking, and the look a lot nicer with Bethany (which I love BTW)
