How did you tell your family and close friends?

Excited!

Congratulations. ;)

When we were pregnant with our second dd, we took a photo of our oldest in a shirt that said "I'm the Big Sister!" Then we put it on two coffee mugs -- one for each of our mothers -- and gave them to them for Mother's Day. You could do it with any photo (an ultrasound, for example, if this is your first) and have it put onto all sorts of things at Walmart.com, Clark Color, Snapfish, Ofoto, etc. (just naming a few I know of).

With our third dd, we put the same big sister shirt on our youngest, under a sweater, when my mom was going to babysit. Before we left, we told her she might want to take the sweater off because it was a little warm in her house, and let her figure it out herself. ;) Of course, it helped that our oldest already knew about the baby and could fill Nana in once she started asking questions. LOL

When I was pregnant with my first, I took a large manilla envelope and placed two baby bibs inside that each read "I love grandma" and "I love grandpa". I addressed the envelope to my parents and acted like the mailman left it for them. It was funny to watch them open it to see what was inside.
Good luck!

Oh, good luck!

1. Emails of sonogram pictures - "Can you guess what this is?"
2. My s-i-l wrapped yellow baby booties for both sets of grandparents. Another friend wrapped sonogram pictures in frames.
3. Another friend found little plastic baby blocks to go atop cupcakes and delivered the cupcakes.
3. The best I've ever heard was fortune cookies- "You're going to be an aunt, cousin, grandmother, etc."

Tell us how you decide to do it! Best wishes, Ginger
