I am thinking about the name Lily Ana- but wondering how the majority of the world is going to pronounce it...

You have no idea what we went through. lol Our families called her JuliAnn-a for the longest time. We just had to keep correcting them. Even I wondered if I was spelling it right or not but figured I'm the parent I can spell/say it however I want. This has actually helped me to know that I AM in the right with how I spelled it. I just think it's unreal how people can chop up names, like in your case. I can see how Anna and Ana can get mixed up I guess. If you go back to grade school where the teacher taught you if there's a consanant in between the two vowels then the first vowel makes a long sound. I think honestly if people just actually took the time to read the name they would ALMOST get them right..:)

I have a two year old Juliana and we pronounce it AH-NA both A-s sound like the a in father.

I've thought about liliana for my coming baby (if it's a girl)
