How would you spell this?

Well i really love the name Alicia. Pronounced: (A-lee-see-ah)Its suppose to be itlian/spanish. I'm scared if i spell it like that people may pronounce it differently. I thought of Aleiciyah but i'm not sure how much i like that. If you have other suggestions i would greatly appreciate it. Thank you so much.

I think Alicia is pretty. Worst case senario, she might get the pronunciation "A-lee-sha" a lot, but that's really not that terrible (once corrected, most people won't be apt to mispronounce it again). Incidentally, it would be the same name anyway ... just an English pronunciation rather than the Spanish/Italian inflection (in fact, my name book lists Alisha as a spelling variation of the Spanish name Alicia lol).
I'm afraid the alternate spelling you listed would not help that at all ... I wouldn't have even attempted to pronounce it from that. It's just more confusing (not less so).
I think the original spelling of Alicia is the best choice, and the pronunciation problem won't really be that big a deal.
HTH! :)

Sorry, but I can't see that using Aleiciyah would help you any, most people would look at that and say, "huh?" and butcher the pronounciation anyway. With that said, I think the way you want to have it pronounced is beautiful, so maybe use the previous posters suggestions on Aleesia or something similar?

I agree -- the Alicia spelling is the best choice. And actually, since the show "Go, Diego, Go!" is popular with preschoolers, and his sister is Alicia (pronounced the way you like), it shouldn't be too hard for people to remember. Aleesia or Aleecia might make it easier to pronounce if people are reading it for the first time, but it's not as pretty.
Good luck!
Because of the actress Alicia Silverstone alot of people might already be familiar with how Alicia is pronounced. I would not use your spelling Aleiciyah. I actually just had to copy and paste it cause I couldn't remember the spelling lol. And it looks jumbled and confusing.
I think leaving it Alicia is the best idea. And it is a really pretty name.
