How would you spell this name?

I am 15 weeks pregnant with twins and we are trying to decide on a name! We will be finding out what they are soon! If they are both boys, we would like to use the names carson and dreadon (pronounced dray-don). But we really aren't sure how to spell dreadon.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Also, what do you think about Halle (haylee) and Megan for two girls!!??

Thanks!!

I like Carson and Dreadon. Maybe Draydon, Draidon, Draedon. The way you've spelt it is also good - I understood the pron. before I read yours, but may another more phonetic spelling would be better. I like the "don" end - matches "son" of Carson.

Halle and Megan are nice names, but I think Halle will be mispronounced - how about Hayli, Hayley, Hailey, etc.

Great names you've chosen!

Good Luck!

i like your boys names. Carson and Dreadon.. tho i'd spell as Draedon..other way spells dread, and in saying i'm wanting to spell Draedon said as Dray-donn. *** Carson & Draedon *** Draedon is more rare and unusual, Carson uncommon yet known. might want more balance with how common or uncommon/known the twin names are. tho to me they are wonderful strong names, like them together!

the girls names i like, however, not the spelling of Halle for the saying of Hailey.. there is Halle (Hahl-lee) Berry.. i would see and say Hahl-lee not Hailey. some may say Hall-ee. the double "LL" makes it a short "a" sound. how about * Haleigh * is distinctive from the traditionally spelled Hailey. looks very pretty also. or Haley is you dont care for "eigh". *** Haley & Megan *** that is adorable! pretty! cute as young girls, yet names to grow and mature with. or Haleigh & Megan is lovely too.

just thought are you saying * Megan as Mehg-ann * ? i assume is said as like that. some do say as ** Mee-gann. ** if you say as * Mee-gann * *** Haleigh & Meagan *** would be absolutely lovely together.

..(all names do get mispelled and said sometimes, but consider how spelling/saying/phonics is done and said..would be missaid, misspelled far more often)..

Carson & Draedon

I'd spell Dreadon (prn. Dray-don) more like Drayden or Draden. I think Drayden is my favorite of those two, actually. With Dreadon spelling I think you'd have a LOT of people pronouncing it incorrectly, such as DRED-en or Dree-don.

I also think that the Dreadon spelling looks less attractive because of the word "dread" which to me is A) a state of anxiety and B) a rastafarian hairstyle. JMHO!

I really like the name Carson btw!

As for the spelling of Halle, I think that most people will pronounce that like Hallie, as in Halle Berry, and many will not pronounce it Haylee/Hailey/Haley as you want them to. I'd recommend using a spelling such as Haley or Hayley. Haylee just is not as polished, and Hailey looks like a LN to me.

I also like the name Megan (and I think that spelling's great!) and I think Haley & Megan would be cute twin girl names.

Good luck!

I would go with Draedon or Draydon.

I love the name Megan. As for Halle, I agree I would pronounce that "Hah-lee" (similar to Holly, not the pronounciation you want). So I would go with the traditional Hayley spelling to ensure that it is pronounced correctly.

Hayley and Megan are very cute together.

Carson and Draydon or Drayden. I pronounced Dreadon...Dread-on. JMHO and not meaning to hurt any feelings.

I think Halle and Megan go nicely together!

Help or hinder?

Good luck finding that perfect name!
