Husband's Name for son

We are expecting our 3rd and last child but 1st son, in about a month and can't agree on a name. I know he really would like our son to be his namesake, but I am not so sure. No one ever calls him by his name. I love my heritage however the truth of the matter is that when I speak the name envisioning a man that is a business man, I fear that it just may sound too ethnic. My fear is that this boy will meet many shut doors by a judgement made by the sound of his name rather than his ability/talents. Another factor is that I have a dear uncle that recently passed, so I would be willing to name my son some rendition of my husband's name with my uncle's name as a MN. He actually suggested that first but seems apprehensive about it now. I am confused I don't want to rob my poor husband of a namesake yet ??????? Any suggestions?

I guess the question to ask is, what is your husband's name that makes you think about it so negatively for your son? I can't imagine a name sounding, as you said, "too ethnic" that doors will be shut to him.
This is an issue I am torn on. I grew up in a family with 4 generations of boys/men (my younger brohter to great-grandfather) with the same first & last name, so I can see the downsides. But at the same time, if this is something that is really important to your husband, maybe a compromise can be made??
