Hyphenated first names

DH and I are torn on upcoming DD's first name and MN is kind of a done deal. All three names are extremely important and meaningful to us. Yesterday we got to thinking of hyphenating the two first name options. WDYT? Her name will be Lucy-Georgia. My children love Lucy so that is more than likely what she will be called. The whole name is Lucy-Georgia Philomena. A mouthful I know but again, all three names are very important.
Thanks in advance.

Theresa (mama to Rebecca Clare 8, Leo Gabriel 6 and DD #2 expected around Valentine's Day)

I think Georgia-Lucy sounds better :) I really like Georgia-Lucy though... very cute!

If I were going to call my child Lucy-Georgia (actually call her that on a day-to-day basis), then I would hyphenate.

I've heard that people with hyphenated names have problems

Lucy Georgia Philomena! That really is a beautiful name. :) I agree with PP, though, that the hyphen is superfluous. I really don't think you need it.

I think Lucy Georgia is a beautiful name. But it is definatly a mouth full. If you love it go for it, people will get use to it before long. I personally wouldn't to the hyphen, its just a hassle. Also do you plan on using Lucy Georgia as a first name and then giving her a middle name aswell? If you are I strong advise againest that. I've got a friend who has two middle names and its just a pain in the put. Her name never fit on all the school forms or test forms(like the ACT) so her 2nd middle name always got cut off.

I personally dislike hyphenated, or 2-name, fns.

I agree that the hypen isn't needed, but I also think that Lucy Georgia Philomena just looks prettier written out
