Over the years, I have collected names that I liked for my son or daugther...and as my tastes changed, so did my list of names. :-) What are your opinions on my collection? Any favorites? Are some of them "too out there" for use on a real person? Where I live, the birth announcements are loaded with ultra trendy names...I don't want my little one to not fit in with their peers later in life. Do you have any suggestions for middle names for some of your favorites??

Girls: Charlotte, Ruby, Genevieve, Georgia, Violet, Eliza, Josephine, Willa, Jane, Clementine, Rose, Rosa, Rosalind, Scarlett, Camilla, Athalie, Anneliese, Chloe, Amelia, Emilia, Esme, Evangeline, Rosalie, Pearl, Sylvia, Sarah, Tallulah, Jessamy, Lucy, Stella, Iris, Delilah, Mathilda, Daisy, Octavia, Nelle, Virginia, Eulalia, Odelia, Adelaide, Lorelei, Imogen, Priscilla, Cordelia, Ophelia, Honora, Briony

Boys: Archer, William, Charles (Charlie), Henry, Jack, Ronan, Cormac, Declan, Finn, Beckett, Sebastian, Jasper, Crispin, Oliver, Satchel, Ethan, Samuel, Simon, Abram, Roark, Max, Eli, Seth, Peter, Roman, Anselm, Alistair, Dashiell, Harry, Duncan, Isaac, Lorcan, Rhys, Strahan, Atticus, Vaughn, Heath, Levi, Reuben, Jude, Rafe

Wow, that's quite the lists you've got. I've gone through many, many names, too. From your girl list I only like a handful of them, most are not my style.

Genevieve
Imogen
Briony
Jessamy

From the boy's that I like:

Ethan (my ds1's name)
Ronan
Declan
Beckett
Sebastian
Eli

Eli and Briony would get my votes.

Terra -
Mommy to
Ethan Robert
and Logan Ryley

What great lists! Here are my thoughts:

Charlotte -- Love it. A gorgeous classic, but not as super popular as many like it.
Ruby -- very pretty. This one is starting to become more popular
Genevieve -- I really like this one. Very pretty and feminine.
Georgia -- I like this one a lot, especially with Gigi as a nickname.
Violet -- very pretty, but likely about to shoot up in popularity thanks to little Violet Garner-Afflect
Eliza -- LOVE Eliza, especially as a nn for Elizabeth
Josephine -- this one is a long-time favorite of mine. I love it.
Willa -- Cute
Jane -- another great classic. I love this one as a middle name
Clementine -- I can only think of "oh my darlin' Clementine"

Since your lists are so long, I'll just pick out my favorites rather than commenting on each one.

Favorites for Girls: Charlotte, Scarlett, Camilla (actually reminds me too much of Camilla Parker-Bowles, but I do like Camille), Amelia

You listed Rose, which I don't care for as a fn, but think it's a perfect mn. Goes with anything.

Boys: Jack, Roman, Vaughn, Heath

We have very, very similar taste. Here are the names from your list that are also on mine:

Charlotte, Genevieve, Georgia, Eliza, Rose, Rosa, Rosalind, Camilla, Anneliese (Analeise is my spelling), Rosalie (this WILL by my first daughter's name, I don't care what fights there have to be with my husband), Stella (my version is Estella), Cordelia (my grandmother's grandmother's name, which I also will definitely use)

These are great Southern names that I feel like I should love, but there's just something about them that I don't like:
Ruby, Clementine, Scarlett, Pearl, Tallulah, Imogen (well, Imogene would be the actual Southern version), Daisy, Virginia

I like alternate versions of these names:
Sylvia: prefer Sylvie
Eulalia: prefer Eulalie
Odelia: prefer Odelie (hmmm...I'm seeing a pattern here)

I like these names just fine, but there's just nothing *exciting* about them:
Lucy, Amelia, Sarah, Jane

I love Ophelia, but I'd never be brave enough to use it for my daughter. And I also like Chloe very much for someone else, but it's not a name I'd use.

And I guess that just leaves the ones that I don't like at all:
Violet, Josephine, Willa, Emilia, Esme, Evangeline, Iris, Delilah, Athalie, Jessamy, Mathilda, Octavia, Nelle, Adelaide, Lorelei, Priscilla, Honora, Briony

I don't have it in me to do the boys right now. Plus, I just like playing around with girl names better. :-) There are some really, really great names in that boy list, though.

Hello there. These are very nice lists! Here are my thoughts:

Girls:

Charlotte-I like this, but it seems to be popping up everywhere lately.

Ruby-That's kind of cute, but it's not my favourite.

Genevieve-This is nice. Ginny is a great nn too.

Georgia-I can't quite get into this one, although I love the nn Gigi.

Violet-I love it! This is one of my favourites.

Eliza-That's excellent.

Josephine-This is also a favourite of mine. I love the nn of Josie as well.

Willa-Willa in theory is lovely. My only issue here is that if you wanted to give her a little pet nn, Willie is kind of bad.

Jane-Simple & classic.

Clementine-Oh, that's adorable!

Rose-Lovely.

Rosa-That's also very nice.

Rosalind-Very pretty as well.

Scarlett-I like this.

Camilla-This name is really growing on me lately, although I detest Cami.

Athalie-Hm, I'm not familuar w/this one.

Anneliese-Cute.

Chloe-That's nms, but it's fine. I think that I'm just a litlte sick of it.

Amelia-I love it!

Emilia-That's also nice, but I slightly prefer Amelia.

Esme-Gorgeous.

Evangeline-This is the only 'Eve' name that I just can't get into.

Rosalie-Sweet.

Pearl-Oh, that's wonderful.

Sylvia-That's nice. I just adore Sylvie.

Sarah-This is way too common to use in real life, but it is a nice name.

Tallulah-So cute!

Jessamy-That's kind of neat.

Lucy-Darling.

Stella-That's really nice. I also love Estella.

Iris-That's fun & spunky!

Delilah-Beautiful. I really love just Lila as well.

Mathilda-That's adorable.

Daisy-Ooh, so sweet!

Octavia-I really don't care for this one. I think it's because of a bad association.

Nelle-I really don't like Nelle, although I love Nellie. Go figure. I think that you could possibly do Anneliese nn Nelle/Nellie if you wanted to use both in one!

Virginia-I like that. Especially w/the nn Ginny.

Eulalia-Hm, I don't know about this one.

Odelia-This is nms.

Adelaide-That's fantastic.

Lorelei-This is cute. I am seeing it pop up a lot lately though.

Imogen-I like this, although a lot of non Brits have issues prononcing it correctly.

Priscilla-This is nms.

Cordelia-Beautiful.

Ophelia-The character was just too tragic!

Honora-That's okay. I'd really just prefer Nora on it's own.

Briony-I can't get into this one.

Boys:

Archer-That's nice, & Archie is too adorable.

William-I love it!

Charles (Charlie)-I love Charlie.

Henry-Ah, this is another one of my favourites.

Jack-Cute, but way over done.

Ronan-That's nice.

Cormac-This is cool, & it has great nn possibilities.

Declan-Nice.

Finn-I love it.

Beckett-That's too cute.

Sebastian-This is quite handsome.

Jasper-This is nice. The 'per' part I could give or take, but I just love Jass.

Crispin-That's really neat.

Oliver-Cute.

Satchel-Oh, I adore this!

Ethan-Eh, that's a bit ho-hum.

Samuel-I could do w/out Samuel, but Sam is really cute.

Simon-Excellent.

Abram-That's nice.

Roark-That's a bit harsh.

Max-I love it.

Eli-This is fine. I like it as a nn for Elias.

Seth-That's not bad. I think said out loud to call him down for dinner though sounds too much like 'sex'. Seriously, try it!

Peter-That's nice.

Roman-I think I may be the only person left who doesn't care for this name.

Anselm-That's a bit much.

Alistair-Nice.

Dashiell-Dashing *grin*.

Harry-That's adorable, but a tad nick-namey on it's own.

Duncan-Too cute.

Isaac-That's alright.

Lorcan-I don't think that I like this one.

Rhys-Good name, good spelling. However, I'm afraid that Reese is getting really common for girls; ugh.

Strahan-Hm, I don't know.

Atticus-Fabulous.

Vaughn-That's nms.

Heath-That's nms.

Levi-Not bad.

Reuben-That's alright.

Jude-I love this one.

Hope this helps!
