So this isn't really a name-specific question, but more how to get my husband to come around to my name.

My husband and I have very different tastes on things (he can be sort of minimalist, simple, classic taste) and me I like things a little more elaborate or whimsical.

This is the most common naming dilemma there is.

Jina, such a reasonable response and not at all what I was looking for! LOL. It's not that I want ot name the baby something he doesn't like, but he himself goes back and forth on names. For example, he disliked and nixed Sadie when I offerred it. I didn't fight for it, because I was unsure about some things. Anyhow, it was months later, when he perused the baby book, that he suggested Sadie as his own idea.

I just feel like a lot of times, most women have husbands who allow the woman to make decisions on the kitchen cabinet and baby names, and, of course, he gets veto power and say if he hates it, but I feel my husband uses the veto power too much.

Anyhow, I myself am not sure of these names so we'll see what the next 6 months brings us!

I know the feeling, I think my DH is way more involved in all design decisions than any other man in the world. He was truly bummed when I came home from PBK with the big boy bedding that #1 wanted for his room years ago. He actually said "I thought we would do this together". All of our nursery designs have been true compromises with him getting more of his way than me. This is the first crib I have actually got that is what I have wanted!

And I envy you and your 6 months to decide, we have only one week and don't have a name for a boy or girl!

Jina, Just to give you an example. Hadley is the name I really like these days and he won't go for it. Last night, he is suggesting names as close as Harley and simmilar trend enough of Riley, but not Hadley! I swear, I feel like he purposely dislikes the name bc I like it so much.

Actually having a boy name would have been easy for me as with my last two pregnancies (both girls), I had boy names early on. It was the girl name that went on and on.
