i love this name, but DH doesn't

hi. i am not really from this board, i'm from Trying To Conceive and was looking for help on baby names.
our boy has to be named after his father and his father and his father... Daniel Kenneth
(pretty boring to me, i like to be original, but whatever. i get to pick the girl's)
for our lovely little lady that has yet to be conceived, i would love to name her
Cloe Aidan
DH doesn't like Aidan for her middle name because that is the name i had picked out for the second boy. i think if it is spelled girly (if that's possible) like Aaden or Aedan it could work for a girl. maybe i should just come up with another girls middle name. what do you think??
TIA

I think Chloe Aidan is a beautiful name, and if you are supposed to get to name a girl then...YOU GET TO NAME A GIRL!
I do disagree with variant spelling of Aidan to make it "more" girly. The name is Aidan regardless of how you spell it and variant spellings can be confusing.
I think it's a lovely combo! If it really is a problem for your dh, might you consider-
Chloe Adrienne, Chloe Ayla, Chloe Arden, Chloe Adanna(which means daddy's girl, by the way), Chloe Arienne, Chloe Hayden, Chloe Annslyn, Chloe Ashlyn?
Keep us posted! Ginger

I say keep the Chloe - find a middle name that does not start with a vowel at all (long or short) and does not have another long O or E in it. I found a few with the Long A sound that did sound OK
here are some examples
Chloe Belinda, Chloe Danielle, Chloe Dawn, Chloe Gisele, Chloe Janelle, Chloe Javonne, Chloe Melinda, Chloe Michelle, Chloe Paige (long A sound, but OK), Chloe Renee (long A sound, but OK), Chloe Suzanne.
as I went through I also found that mns that start with L did not flow well either.
good luck.
Arienne is French. I've only heard it once and it was with the hard R. R-ee-nn. And actually the correct French pronunciation has the emphasis on the nn's. r-ee-NN. There is also the French Erienne. This has more of the "air" sound, if that's what you like. Starts like Erin. ehr-ee-NN.
I also think either name would be gorgeous without the French emphasis on letter N. This is what I had in mind when I suggested them. Chloe Arienne (r-ee-in) or Chloe Erienne (ehr-ee-in).
Hope this helps! Keep me posted and good luck, Ginger
If you decide to save Aidan and just want another unique "A" middle name, here are a few:
Abrielle (my first daughter's middle name)
Angeal / Angel
Anwen
Ashlyn / Aislin
Auryn
Aven / Eavan
Amelia
Abigail
(these last two aren't as unique, but still beautiful) :)

Just a thought...good luck!
As for middle names, I think both would be beautiful choices (of course, I'm biased toward Abrielle, or I wouldn't have used it for my own daughter lol). :)
Good choices all around!

I think that it's okay to use a male name as a middle name for a girl...but Cloe Aidan sounds just slightly choppy to me...it doesn't seem to flow as well as some other names might. Maybe b/c the vowel sounds are so close, I'm not sure.
As far as Daniel Kenneth goes, I think it's a nice enough name, I think I prefer Kenneth Daniel, but if you're looking for a way to spice up the name a bit, I'm sure some of these lovely ladies will be able to help you out...
One thing that came to mind, but I don't know if you'll like it...
Daniel Kemar? (pronounced Keh-MAR). Maybe that's not close enough to Kenneth, I dont' know. But if you're girl mn is going to be altered, it's only fair that his boy mn gets altered, too. ;-)
Well, best of luck to you!
