I like vintage- unique names. Me and my hubby had a super long list of names which I narrowed down to a couple. We are getting surprised so we don't know the gender. I still have severl girl names that need to be narrowed down.

Girls: Abigale Rose, Genevieve Kate or Geniveve Marie, Naomi Faye or Naomi Camille, Emmyn Caroline ( pronounced Em-in Care-o-line)

Boys: Hanson James, Maxwell Oliver, Lyle Xiaver

Thanks for the help! :)

Hi there.

Here are my thoughts on your lists:

Abigale Rose-Very pretty, but I think that Abigail is more of a natural looking spelling.  Abigail is super common if that bothers you, but a strong & classic name.

Genevieve Kate-Very sweet.  It works well for a grown up or a kid too.  It's known enough, but not at all over done.

Genevieve Marie-I like this too, because it's sort of French.  I do prefer the simplicity of Kate though.

Naomi Faye-Naomi is good.  It's not my personal favorite, but a perfectly respectable & not over done name.

Naomi Camille-I like this better, but really like Camille as a fn!

Emmyn Caroline-Caroline is good, but Emmyn is super trendy & made up looking and sounding.  Definitely nms.

Hanson James-Meh, kind of just blends in w/all of the other trendy 'son' names out there.  I like the James part.

Maxwell Oliver-Dashing.  Max is very very popular, but for good reason.  It's a great name.

Lyle Xavier-This is cute, & unique.  I like it!

Hope this helps. :)

First off, congratulations! What fun names you have!

Of your girls, I likes Naomi Faye best, followed by Genevieve Marie. Naomi Faye has the best flow of the bunch, and Faye is rarely ever used, even as a mn, so I'm always happy to see it. Naomi also has plenty of syllables without having a lot of letters, if that makes any differene to you. Genevieve Marie also has good flow, and it has a lot of nickname options (including my favorite, Eve). As far as general impressions of the first names go, Naomi feels more down-to-earth and solid, and Genevieve more fanciful, in spite of the historical Genevieve.

For your boys, I liked Maxwell Oliver. It is probably the most common of the three, which may be a deterrant to you, but I liked its relative solidarity. Lyle is pretty cool, and so is Xavier, but for no good reason I can think of the combo just doesn't work for me. Sorry I can't be of greater help with your boy names.
