I need HELP.....from you name experts...

So I am a little leery of asking as I have just spent the past hour or so reviewing this board so I know how some feel about giving girls unisex names etc.....BUT I also see how some of you give great honest responses so I am willing to ask for help. Here is my deal: I am now pregnant with #4 GIRL.Our current daughters names are:

Carter Elisabeth, age 6 (Carter is a family name and Elisabeth goes back many, many, many generations)

Hunter Elise, age 4 (I had wanted to name her Brier Elise but in the end dh suggested Hunter and I agreed.)

Kennedy Grace, 18 mo (No we are not naming them after Presidents....and no we are not Democrat as many think-actually when naming Kennedy did not know it was as popular as it was-MIL wanted MacKenzie so I went with something similar-Grace like Elisabeth is a family name passed on for generations)

So now the delemma-what to name a 4th girl?????? When we named Carter first we sort of have to have a unisex-surname whatever for the first names of the rest of the girls.I mean you can't have Carter, Hunter, Kennedy and say Lily?

Our last name is anderson so no 'son' names-not a big fan of those anyway....maybe ryan noel (noel is my grandfathers middle name-pronounced NO-EL)or logan marie though I have a nephew named logan.

guess i am hoping for some suggestions of first and middle names similar to our girls-surname with femmy traditional middle name???

thanks much in advance.

My first thought was Finley. I'll have to get back to you with more ... getting late. ;)

FWIW, I'd avoid another -er ending, since you already have two. I also wouldn't use Noel as a mn with an equally-masculine fn. Ryan Noel just looks like a complete boy name next to your girls. If you want to honor Noel, I'd stick with the feminine Noelle form for a mn (though the N in Ryan runs into it, so I don't care for that particular pairing, to be honest).

I for one love unisex names for girls, good luck deciding on the right name. Here's a few I can think of:

Cameron
Harley
Riley
Kensley
Rustie

It's late, I can't think of any others now but these are ones from people I know.

I'm not a huge fan of unisex names, but you're right...you probably wouldn't want to switch styles to something ultrafoofy now! I would probably stay with something surnamey rather than out-and-out boyish, so I'd skip Ryan and Rustie and company, but there are a lot of good surnames that you can use that aren't presidents, either...there are lots of vice-presidents, for instance...*laugh* I do agree with the previous poster that I'd go with the Noelle spelling rather than Noel since there is the male name Noel (pr. nole) so the combination doesn't become too gender confusing.

Anyway, on with the name ideas!
Avery/Averil
Roosevelt (sorry--I couldn't help myself!)
Linden
Sheridan
Ellery

okay for some reason i am still awake stressing over this whole name situation. i do agree with the noelle spelling....just spent hours looking over birth announcements-these are names i have come up with:
ryan noelle (but n's run together)
caden noelle (same thing-garbage)
kendall lee or leigh
ashley brooke (but is ashley too femmy these days)
macey gray (hahahaha gray is family name...singer right)
Keagan Noelle

had tyler and taylor but omitted to avoid the 'er' sound.

had thought of kameron Gray but nolonger care for it....had also thought of mckinley brooke or mckinley drew but do not really care for mc names

just sucks really because so much thought went in to carter elisabeth and i am stumped!!!!
had boys names landon matthew or trevor matthew picked out-who would have thought we would have had yet another girl.....

thanks for ideas-please keep them coming.....i am getting desperate...
tahnks again

wow you guys are great....mchot sydney is one i had not thought of....ofyour list many are existing nieces and nephews....blake, devon, baylee or pets growing up riley and darcy-being the youngest of 8 and then 4 more adopted it sometimes seems as if my siblings have used all names up-i have a male nephew that is about 26 now named LOGAN-i think it would be neat to have a girl and name her logan but what would logan think?

jazznpercy-hadley-thats neat as my dad actually grew up in south hadley falls,MA , dylan i have thought about and it is possible and rowan another neat choice......

courtney127-peyton olivia sounds really cute.i love the name olivia. sometimes i think had we not started this last name first name thing my girls would be named gracie, lily, elisabeth and olivia-but then who would have thought we would keep having kids??????

donalyn370!!!!!!! teagan mattea-probably my favorite standout in this whole bunch so far and i'll tell you why-dh's name is matt well matthew though i think he has always been matt-and teagan is a name i have actually googled with our last name and found the cutest little blond haired 5th grader at a science fair....our girls are blond and blue-light brown and green...i told my husband of the name teagan and he was like what about keagan???men!!!! but i'm still putting this on my list. i'm trying to get a list together to email to him so he can see them all in print and choose.

also wanted to say that isabel was actually my grandmothers name and my now 52 year old sisters name.......my sister never liked the name infact goes by carlie.....she is totally baffled that it has made such a comeback....

please keep them coming.....janet

I'm back. ;) I like Rowan, Teagan, Dorian, Flynn and Hadley (especially with the family connection) for you, from those already mentioned.

FWIW, since Carter and Hunter aren't generally considered "unisex" options (masculine/surnames sometimes used for girls, yes, but commonly male), I think you can safely avoid the trendier crossover names -- Logan, Aidan, Caden, Mason, Jadon, Avery, etc. Also, as I believe someone else has already pointed out, I definitely wouldn't use another K sounding fn when you already have Carter and Kennedy. Having all names beginning with the same letter or sound is one thing (not my style AT ALL, but nonetheless). Having all but one begin so seems even more odd, however.

With Carter, Hunter and Kennedy, I might consider:

Elliott
Eleri/Ellery
Ellis
Fallon
Lorcan
Evan
Lachlan/Lachina/Lachtna - the latter two are actually feminine names, but they're so underused and similar to Lachlan I still think they work with your girls
Noel/Nowell - you could always use this as a fn
Niall/Niles - a slight nod to Noel, but this seems more in the style of Carter and Kennedy, if you KWIM
Miles/Myles/Milo
Everett
Beckett
Tierney/Tiernan
Oran/Orrin
Tate - could also use Tatum, which has the same place/surname feel
Wesley
Graham - nn Gray (wasn't this a family name for you?)
Flannery
Perry
*sorry for any repeats ;)
