I need HELP.....from you name experts...

So I am a little leery of asking as I have just spent the past hour or so reviewing this board so I know how some feel about giving girls unisex names etc.....BUT I also see how some of you give great honest responses so I am willing to ask for help. Here is my deal: I am now pregnant with #4 GIRL.Our current daughters names are:

Carter Elisabeth, age 6 (Carter is a family name and Elisabeth goes back many, many, many generations)

Hunter Elise, age 4 (I had wanted to name her Brier Elise but in the end dh suggested Hunter and I agreed.)

Kennedy Grace, 18 mo (No we are not naming them after Presidents....and no we are not Democrat as many think-actually when naming Kennedy did not know it was as popular as it was-MIL wanted MacKenzie so I went with something similar-Grace like Elisabeth is a family name passed on for generations)

So now the delemma-what to name a 4th girl?????? When we named Carter first we sort of have to have a unisex-surname whatever for the first names of the rest of the girls.I mean you can't have Carter, Hunter, Kennedy and say Lily?

Our last name is anderson so no 'son' names-not a big fan of those anyway....maybe ryan noel (noel is my grandfathers middle name-pronounced NO-EL)or logan marie though I have a nephew named logan.

guess i am hoping for some suggestions of first and middle names similar to our girls-surname with femmy traditional middle name???

thanks much in advance.

Janet!! I've been wondering about you guys. Congrats on baby #4!

you're cracking me up w/ the Presidents. I know a McKinley and she's beautiful. I don't have any other names that haven't been suggested already.

Good luck naming your baby girl. I hope to see you around more. I miss you! You always made me laugh!

I don't have a lot of fresh ideas but I really liked Keagan Noelle. Very pretty and fits your style.

Just an observation, but I'd find it VERY odd to hear of sisters named Carter, Kennedy, McKinley and ... Hunter?! Now if Hunter had been Madison, Tyler or Reagan that would make perfect sense, but as it stands I'd avoid any more Presidential surnames.

hello!! well, youve definitely got a different style on naming your kids-i like it though-your girls have very strong, unique names-i dont always like the unisex crossovers, but everyone has their own style-and youre right-i cant see the 3 names you have chosen already having their "match" in lily or belle or another very feminine name...i dont like ryan though. mainly cuz it seems so small next to your other 3 names-you have carter, hunter and kennedy-all very strong names-then ryan. its just kinda there. the 2 names i like best with your other names are chandler or sawyer. (i also like paxton and addison too-but these dont sound right with your last name). i know like 4 logans-it one of those up and comers that everyone seems to be using these days...(actually i know a family that has a logan and a carter-theyre both boys though). i do like the middle name noel, too. and mackenzie from before isnt too bad either-neither is riley or jaiden...(these names are a lil more popular though). take care!

i know exactly what you guys are saying.....especially with my dd carter running around today having heard me discuss it saying -hunter you were not a president and we were!!!!! funny cause we actually did not end up with these presidential names on purpose....what a mess. so 'chandler' thats a name i had not seen yet but does it make you think 'friends'???? question with mckinley though is how many people actually know it was a president. people can be pretty stupid. lol. i don't know. i think whatever we come up with most definetly should just ignore the carter and hunter sibs and go more along the lines of kennedy as a name. also will add that having 'son' on the end of our name SUCKS! kids home for spring break-spent 5 hours at chuck e cheeses today-can you say overstimulation?????????? janet

I'd think McKinley would immediately bring to mind "President" for most people, whether they're familiar with history or not. Even though it falls in with all the other trendy Mc- names at the moment, it's not as common as, say, McKenna, Mackenzie or the misspellings of Michaela. One of the only available points of reference is the president of the same name, so that will inevitably be the most ready association. In fact, if you do a simple search for "McKinley," nearly every result pertains to William (and it is the ONLY result if you search Wikipedia ... not the usual list of dozens sharing that surname, so quite linked to that one man).

Especially when thrown in with Carter and Kennedy! When coupled with the others, even the most historically-ignorant person might make that connection ("hmmm ... I think McKinley WAS a president, but who the heck was Hunter??" LOL). Which also brings to light the similar sounds in Carter, Kennedy and McKinley, all being very K-heavy, and Hunter all by herself. ;)
