I Need A Southern Middle Name!
| Mon, 04-24-2006 - 6:53pm |
I'm from California but my fiance is from the South (cowboy ridin' accent and all) and we are trying to come up with a southern yet modern middle name for our baby girl (we don't know 100% yet that it's a girl but for some reason everyone in my family and his family KNOW it's a girl. Don't ask why. :-P ).
We have both agreed on the first name to be Porsche (not sure if we want to change the spelling though).
Two middle names we've come up with are Maisie-Lynn and Jamie-Lynn.
I need some help coming up with some southern sounding yet modern enough middle name ideas! Could someone please send me some suggestions?

Thanks to all the great ideas! I've decided on Portia I like the spelling and my family does too. As for the one individual who was kind of bashing me I am sticking with that name and as far as me thinking about Maisie or Jamie hyphenated with Lynn... it was just a random thought thrown out there to get people to start thinking. I haven't totally settled on any middle name yet... I'm still trying to see what sounds good.
My fiances grandmother (who is really sick) her name is Ruby. She lives in southern Georgia. So I was thinking Portia Ruby. Does anyone think that has a southern ring to it?

Hi Kim,
I'm SO glad you've decided on Portia, and I absolutely LOVE Portia Ruby! It's perfect! It's also so special that she would be named after her great grandmother. Good Luck!
BIG thumbs up for Portia Ruby!
