My boyfriend and I are expecting a little girl at the end of January and we have a name in mind, but the more and more I think about the less sure I am that it is the name.

The name we've decided on is Kiley Anne.

Kyle is my father's name, so the female version of Kyle is Kylie. And I just find Kiley more feminine than Kylie.

And Anne is my mother's middle name.

Her initials would be KAR, just

I don't know anyone named Kylie or Kiley for that matter, I never really considered it to be trendy. I'm not a big fan of trendy names myself. I much rather prefer something unique but not totally out there. My name is Kahla and I always loved that I had a unique spelling, thats what I was trying to accomplish with Kiley. Because Kylie was in all the baby name books I saw. I guess that would make it trendy, huh? I just never thought that this would be such a hard decision, she's my first baby and I guess I just want her name to suit her perfectly..Thanks for your opinion, i appreciate it.

See thats my problem too. I like Kiley when I first came up with it, but the more and more I think about it, the more it just doesnt seem to flow with me. But I want a unique name, but nothing out there you know? It's really hard deciding..thanks for your input though.

I just answered your post about your boyfriend's mother's suggestions. I like these much more because they have meaning to you. It's nice that you are trying to take her feelings into account, but in the end, you (and your bf) get to decide on your DD's name.

I like Kylie Anne. I don't think it's trendy, but

Yea a lot of people seem to be agreeing with the spelling choice being Kylie, I just didnt want her mistaken for a Kyle so I figured Kiley. But your right that does seem very unisex..

I think Kiley Anne is cute. If you are worried about it being too cutesy...I have a friend names Kylin that goes by Kylie. She is 26 now, and Kylie still fits her perfectly.
Good luck,
