I've like the fn for a while, but I finally found a mn that I like with it. Please give your opinion.

Maisie Greer (then our last name starts with an "R" and is 3 syllables ending in stein)

Thanks.

I really, really like Maisie Greer, but I still think Maisie is a better nickname for Margaret than a standalone name. Margaret Greer Rosenstein (I'm just using the only three syllable 'R' begiining 'stein' ending last anme I know for an example!) sounds awesome. Maisie Greer Rosenstein doesn't look as good atop a resume to me. But it sounds really cute for a three year old, just not as great for a 43 year old! JMHO, of course!

When I hear the name Maisie, I think of the lady on Desperate Housewives who slept with all the women's husbands for $.....sorry! I do like Greer though!

I know a little girl named Maislyn and they shorten it to Maisy.

I love Maisie as a nickname, but I just think it's too cute for an adult. It doesn't seem very professional. I love Greer and it's a great combination. But I agree with earlier poster that I'd love it more if Maisie was a nickname rather than a full name.

I think Maisie is a wonderful name. It might be a good idea to lengthen it 'officially' if when she gets older she wants to go back, however, what some people don't realize is that when these kids are adults, they will all be named Mackenzie and Madeleine and Madison and Haylie and it won't sound weird. They just sound like baby names now b/c they are babies! Anyway that's what I think.

Probably 20 years ago everyone thought that Britney. Ashley, Chelsea, Carly, etc wouldn't be good 'grown up' names, but now that they are becoming adults it will start to just feel normal. Don't you think?
