I was having some concerns with this pregnancy, so I went to see the ob Doc yesterday. Ultrasound showed no heartbeat at 12 weeks. I was hoping and praying overnight that my dates were somehow off, but Doc called today to confirm with HCG levels. I can't believe that i have to go thru this again. He wants to see my the end of next week to have another ultrasound and I am thinking to then schedule a d&c. I always thought a miscarriage would be easier to deal with once you already had children. (Our first miscarraige was before we had Brendan) BUt I can tell you now, it hurts just as bad. For being an unplanned pregnancy, I am having a hard time now just thinking about how much we had already been planning our lives around this new little one.
Thanks for lettng me use this as my sounding board. I am trying to hold it together for the boys, but its very hard on me.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I had a miscarriage too when I was very very young. When I first found out I was pregnant I was mortified (I was only 15). As the months went by I very slowly grew to love that little life that was growing inside of me and I told myself that everything would be okay, that I could do this. Just as I started to get excited about having a baby, I found out I lost it, and I was about 4 1/2 months along. It was devastating. I had a huge mix of different emotions...sadness,relief,guilt for being relieved, etc. But i got through it! And the good news is you will too! It will take time, but just focus on what you DO have...a wondeful husband and little boy =)
