I'm only 7 weeks pregnant but I would like to start thinking of names early. I had orginally though of 2 names once my last child was born just in case but my husband allready shot them down! So i though of 2 more and no luck
here are the 4 i have thought of
Boy:
Leo Aidan- My mothers intials
Cole David- David for my grandmothers brother who died
Girl:
Riley Ann- Ann for my mothers middle name
Sophie Alise- My grandmothers intials
My first 2 kids are realted to family names my first is Janie Elizabeth- Elizabeth is my husbands mother My second is Jared Lawrence- Lawrence is my fathers middle name. My mom and dad have been divorced since i was 4 and i really wanted to do something to relate the name to my moms side of the family but there arent many choices. Some names in the family are. Shirley Ann- my grandmother Glenn Orville- my grand father and Lori Ann- my mother. My mothers maiden name is Boston and I think thats a good strong boys name but it doesnt rly fit in the family Please help I can thing of what else to do!

I actually really like Orville as a mn for a boy, and Boston is nice too. Both very strong names. I love Leo from your list, and Cole is nice too but doesn't have the spunk that Leo does. Riley is way overdone, and Sophie is popular, but sweet.
What about Lorelei Ann for you mother. Or Laura or Lauren instead of Lori. I like Lorelei best with Jared and Janie. You could call her Rory as a nn... cute.
Ann seems to come up a lot in both your mother and grandmother's name. Doing a variant of Ann would probably work best:
Annabel
Annelise
Annika
Anna
Anastasia
The nn Annie is adorable and fits really well with Janie. You could even go with Anders for a boy. I love that name, so strong.
My favourite choices for you are:
Janie Elizabeth, Jared Lawrence, & Annabel ______
Janie Elizabeth, Jared Lawrence, & Anders Orville

Working with Shirley Ann, Glenn Orville, Lori Ann, David and Boston ...
Any form of Ann seems an obvious choice for a fn or mn -- Ann(e), Aine, Annika, Anita, Annabel, Annora, Hanna(h) or Annelise (especially since you had "Alise" on your list). ;)
There's also Lara, Lora, Laura, Lauren, Laurel, Laurice, Lorna, Lorelei, Glenna, Davena/Davina/Vina, Davinia or Davida for a girl and Loren, Lorne, Davis or Dawson (son of David) for a boy.
And if you like your mom's maiden name, Boston, but it doesn't seem to fit as a fn, you could use it in the mn slot or perhaps use something similar, like Bastian (or Sebastian, nn Bastian), in honor of it.

Well, for girls I think that any first name with the middle name Ann could honor both your mother and grandmother so maybe you could find one your husband likes or let him pick it.
I like Riley Ann though, it's cute. Or a name that has 'lori' in it such as Gloria or Mallory (Mallori). I also think Laura or Lauren would honor her.
To honor Shirley you could use Shelley, Kimberley (or another name using the -rley); even Riley fits here I think.
For boys you could always use Boston as a middle name to honor your mother.
HTH!

Congrats on number 3!
I am glad that you liked the suggestion of Lorelei! I think that this name works well with your other kids. Now in regards to Alise, I am sorry but this spelling looks made-up I am much more familiar with Elise.
If you want go with the intials L.A.:
Lorelei Alice - I think that fits well with Janie Elizabeth. Alice and Elizabeth are both classic names. Also, since Lorelei is a longer name I think a shorter middle name works best.
or
Lorelei Ava
I think that Riley is overdone and Sophie is a great name, but it is so hot right now I would avoid it.
Here are some more girl names:
Sadie Anne
Sarah Alice/Sarah Adeline
Sabine Ava
Scarlett Anne/Scarlett Ava/Scarlett Alice
Lucy Adeline
Lila Anne/Lila Ava
Laurel/Laural Alice
Boys:
Leo Aidan- My mothers intials
Cole David- David for my grandmothers brother who died
I love both of these!! Maybe Cole David just a little bit more. You know I think that Oliver is close to Orville.
So maybe:
Oliver Cole
Grant Oliver
Leo Ford
Leo Boston
Boston Oliver
Ford Oliver
good luck!
Brooke
AJ, enjoying life with C.
I definitely think if it's a girl, you should use Ann or some version of Ann -- Anna, Annabelle, Annelise, Anne, Annika, etc. as the fn. It seems the easiest way to honor your mom's side (and is much more meaningful than using your grandmother's initials, I think). Now, in my family, we always use surnames from the mothers side as the mn, so I think these names would work beautifully (and are much more distinctive than most names you'll hear):
Anna Boston
Annabelle Boston
Annelise Boston
Annika Boston
As far as boys' names go, I think you should look to your mom's family tree-- her Dad's name, her grandfather's name, etc. for ideas, rather than just using her initials. Boston woudl work here as a mn also, so I encourage you to use it:
Glenn Boston
Orville Boston
or any other male name on the family + Boston
I love the name Boston / Bostyn for a girl or a boy!
Out of your boy choice I like Cole David best because Leo Aidan does not really go well with your other two children
If you are looking for an "L" name what about:
Landon
Luke
Logan
Lindon
Lance
Leyton
Laird
Lawson
Lincoln
Levan
Leary
or
Lyle
I like both of your girl choices but Riley I like just a little more.
