Initial Question

HI! Our DD's initials are A.C. (Alyssa Claire). NOW...we are pg with #2 and DH likes a name (me too) with the same initials for a boy (Aiden Cade). Is it too weird to have 2 children with the same initials? I'm kinda leaning toward making it so they are a little more unique from each other???

Thanks!

That is what I was thinking about doing!!! Really gotta push DH on that since we think this baby will be our last. Maybe go C.A. instead? COOL IDEA??? Anyone else have one?

THANKS!

Unless you're madly in love with Aidan Cade, I think you should choose a differant name.

Our 2 boys are DH. Actually DH is DH! LOL! There is a tradition in his family to name the boys "D" and our last name is "H." So I have 3 BILs and 3 nephews who are all DH as well. Most everyone has different middle name though. Older DS is DMH, younger DS is DLH, and DH is DTH.

GO for it!

As long as you also give any other children born later the same AC initials I think it's cute. My ex-DH everyone in his family (mother, brother, and sister) all had the initials SAW except him and he felt left out. Other things also were different they way they treated him so he was like the black sheep, but everyone always told me that his mom should have included him in the SAW initals. Also he is the middle child so his older brother and younger sister got the SAW. His initals were DLW.

Also I think the name you have chosen is very cute. I have an older brother named Kevin and I am Karen, so I think that is cute too. We are also Irish twins so the similiar names are cute. Our oldest brother is Timothy.

I think it's fine to give them the same initials. I also think that if you have children later, but do not give them the same initials as your first two, it's ok as well. Pick the names you really love and let that be the only deciding factor- if you treat all your children well it wont matter if they all have the same initials or not. They will all feel loved.

JMO- let your heart decide what to name your new baby.

Congratulations!!

I don't think it's too weird at all! :-) I actually like the idea! Better that than initials that spell something, lol...

Best of luck to you!

My Dh and his entire family (MIL, FIL and 2 BIL) all are RP. Different mn. The name we are considering for a DD happens to be R, we really didn't want to continue the tradition, it just happened. but not for a boy. I think it is fine as long as if you start the tradition, you stick with it
