HI! Our DD's initials are A.C. (Alyssa Claire). NOW...we are pg with #2 and DH likes a name (me too) with the same initials for a boy (Aiden Cade). Is it too weird to have 2 children with the same initials? I'm kinda leaning toward making it so they are a little more unique from each other???

Thanks!

I have known families that did same initials for their children. I don't think them both having the same initials is a problem as long as the names don't sound the same, which Alyssa and Aiden do not. However, I think the Cade does not sound right with Aiden - they rhyme too much with those two long As.

so I'd say keep the Aiden, go with another middle name. it could be any middle initial, not necessarily a C, since you seem to not like the idea of the same two initials.

OR - since you seem to like Cade, but it just doesn't work as a mn for Aiden, you could put the n on the end of Cade and go with Caden as a first name and a competely different middle name.

here are some other C mns for Aiden if you do still want the same initial thing: Aiden Christopher, Aiden Conner, Aiden Cole

good luck

I think it is fine if you love the name but consider if you would also name a possible #3 with these initials too. If so, maybe it would be too forced to fins a name you love and too cutesy but if not, he/she may feel left out.
