Thansk for the ideas! I really like Garrett and Tate and now that I think about it they were on my short list if DD had been a boy. I also love Laurel and Tessa. They are both beautiful names....

In response to your question about Avery getting popular... I have a daughter named Avery, she is now 1, and we have met at least 4 other Avery's in the last two months! They are all a bit younger (between 3-8 months), but the name is certainly gaining some steam. But if popularity doesn't matter to you, then I think it's a cute match with Delaney!

Other girls names that might work for you:
Delaney and Harper
Delaney and Meredith
Delaney and Emerson (nn Emmy)
Delaney and Morgan
Delaney and Chloe

I'll have to get back to you on the boys names!

Thans for the ideas! I have always loved Emerson but I think it might be too much with my DS Carson...what do you think? Delaney was almost a Meredith so I like that too!

What's you DD's MN. The Avery's I know are mostly older..I know one who just turned 10 and another is a friend of a girl I babysat for years...she's probably at least 23 now..BTW, when did I get old??

Hi Roberta,
My dd is Avery Elizabeth. I know only two older Avery's --BOTH WOMEN, I might add!-- one in her late 50's, the other 32. So the name is not as "trendy" as many seem to think. Although, as I said, it is getting VERY popular. Actress Angie Harmon has an 8 month old daughter named Avery Grace. Actually, perhaps you'd like Angie Harmon's other daughter's name: Finley Faith. Maybe that works for you?

And I do agree with you: Emerson and Carson might be too much of the "son" factor.

I think Meredith is great name, strong and lovely. I know a gorgeous and sweet woman named Meredith, but she goes by "Merry" which certainly suits her!

Good luck and keep me posted!
Maria
PS: I am feeling very old myself...I mean, I'm actually posting on a baby name website on a Saturday night while my baby sleeps and my husband is away on business. Dullsville!
