Have you been to www.babynamesofireland.com? They have it all listed in chart format, with origins, Anglicized variations, and you can listen to most of the names pronounced correctly. :)

Yeah, you can. LOL. My name is Colleen, too. People in Ireland don't use it for given names much at all. It's mostly just popular in America to people of Irish ancestry.

It's frustrating, too, because people always think I'm saying "Pauline" or "Connie" when I tell them my name. They also always think it's the feminine form of Colin. *eyeroll* When I have to give my name for a food order or something like that, I always give my middle name. Not too many ways to hear Michelle.

I think that is a beautiful name. The only thing I don't like is that it is so much more umm "irish" than your older girls. I know they are both irish but they are subtle irish and pretty common in the US(if that were you live??). Catriona is a little more unheard of and it will probably never be pronounced correctly, which I personaly think is horrible with such a beautiful name. I love another posters suggetion of Anya, I love love love that name but again I don't think it would EVER be said correctly, same goes for Isla. I am not familar with most irish names so I look some up and here are a few that I can see working with your other girls' names.

Abigail-- You could call her Aila, someone on this board uses Aila for her DD named Abigail and I think it is a wonderful soultion to the popular Abby.

Bailey

Cassidy

Niamh--LOVE LOVE LOVE IT

Regan

Ryanne

Teagan
