Hi I was wondering if you could give me some ideas for an Irish girls name that would sound good with Shannon and Ryleigh(my two daughters)

Thanks

Here is a link to babynames.com. It is a list of their Irish girls names...

Good Luck!

Baby Names of Ireland (all together, dot com) is a great site for Irish names, too, and you can hear them spoken by an actual Irish person (Frank McCord, the writer of Angela's Ashes.)

i just have to put it out there that "carly" is not an irish name...100% american with vague latin roots (same roots as "carol" and "charlotte" and the like). (i'm speaking from experience, lol.)

some of my favorites (not all are strictly irish...i have a lot of gaelic names stockpiled):
caitlin
brigid
cairistiona
catriona
ailis/eilis (both pronouned "eye-liss", old gaelic forms of alice and elizabeth, respectively)
corey
maisri
mairi
marsali
alison
eileen
eveleen
evelyn
tara
onora (optional accent over the second 'o')
kelsey
lonnague
finora
fiona

just to name a few. have you tried just googling "irish baby names"?

www.babynamesofireland.com and www.behindthename.com are both excellent sources. Either one is actually much better (much more accurate) than babynames.com. Good luck!

My favourite irish girls names are Ciaomhe (Kee-va), Eilidh (Ee-ly), Niamh (Neeve) and Aoife (Ee-fah). Hope that helps.
