Just looking for some suggestions ...

My husband and I have a 4-year-old and 10-month-old and are 3 months pregnant again (total surprise lol). Anyway, our daughters' names are Kaitlyn and Devanie, and we would like an Irish name for this baby as well. The only problem is most of the names I come across are either too trendy or popular (Kaitlyn has become quite popular since we named our first-born, and I don't think I want to repeat that) or not quite Anglicized enough (if any of you are familiar with Irish names you know what I'm talking about). We don't want anything too "out-there" that would be impossible to spell or pronounce. People seem to have enough trouble with Devanie (a form of Devan). :)

Anyway, I just know you guys always seem to come up with names you might not come across on most Web sites or baby name books, so I thought I'd open the floor to suggestions. We're especially having trouble with boy names, since we never had to pick one before. I'd really appreciate anything you could throw out there. TIA!

A friend of mine has 2 children with Irish names. Keenan is her son and Ainsley is her daughter. There are a few ideas for you!

Believe me, Kaitlyn was popular long before your daughter was born. The only name I can think of that hasn't been mentioned is Brenna, which I think fits really well with your daughters names.

A different Irish Girls name would be Teagan! Not very popular and easy to spell. I don't have any boys names to help out with.

Being Irish, I have always to come up with names for my future children. Here are some I have thought of.....

Maeve(mave)
Ainslee
Aisling(ashling)
Quin (for a girl) or Quintin (for a boy)
Calie (form of Caileigh)
Just had a friend name their little boy Declan.

Hi, it is so hard to pick the right names for your child. I am having my own poll on here!! Do you like the name Shane or Patrick Shane? I kinda like that for a boy.I am having a girl so boys names are hard to think of. I like the name Jediah, but it isn't irish. If i think of any more i will let you know. Good luck. serena

Thanks for the suggestions, Serena. Unfortunately, DH hates Shane (although I like it) and we know a LOT of Patricks, so both of those are pretty much out. I definitely know what you mean about having trouble thinking of boys names. We have two girls already, so we have lists and lists of those from before (and it was between two we loved equally last time, so if this is another girl she's pretty much already named). Thus the reason for this post. :) I am having so much trouble thinking of a boys name DH likes as well. We do have a few we actually both seem to like (surprisingly lol), but I was hoping to get a few more suggestions on here. Thanks again for your input!
