Since Isabella is very frilly and feminine, I like it with a simplified mn like Rose. Isabella Rose is a nice combination. However, I do REALLY like Isabella Celine. Some people think Rose is "boring" or a "filler" middle. Isabella Celine is unique and sounds REALLY pretty.
I don't care for Isabella Makena at all... I don't think they go together well because 1) Isabella is so ultra-feminine and Makena (like all Mc/Mak names) seems more unisex/surname-like; and 2) I don't think it flows that great (too many syllables, double "a" endings).
As for your alternatives, I really like Carly and I think it actually sounds better as a sibling name with Jason. I think Kelly goes better, too, but I know some people will say it sounds dated.
Hope this helps!
Absolutely NO to Carly and Kelly. And, absolutely NO, NO, NO to Makena. I'm so completely bored with all those Mac names that I can barely contain myself. Why would you name a little girl McKenzie or McKayla or McKenna or McClay...they're all UGLY. And, you have the added burden of no one knowing how it's spelled.
Now, I completely love the name Isabella Rose. Rose has not become a filler name...as have Grace, Anne, Claire, and to a certain extent, Faith. Isabella Rose fits perfectly with Jason Thomas. I LOVE this name, and I hope you use it.
Isabella Celine isn't bad either. I just prefer Rose because it's simply and feminine, like Isabella.
