i was forced to push yes becuase of the fact that that there was no maybe....i think it is completly up to the parents on wether to name there child after them. if they strongly disliked there name all through life then obviosly u shouldnt name your kid after you. your kids name should represent what you like, not whatever everyone else likes. my middle name is lynnsey named after my dads middle name (lynn). i wished my parents would have made that my first name. my dad is a great inspiration,and i love that name purferably over my first...so basiclly my point is that if u like your name go for it,,if not absolutly not.

My parents did something like that, naming one child after themselves. Dad's mn was Lee, and Mom's mn was Kay, so they combined them and named their first daughter Kaylee.

I'm kinda biased against direct naming, but I don't think it's innappropriate to name a child after both parents, especially if it's done creatively.
