Okay, my husband and I are having the typical "we can't agree on a name" disagreement. We're having a girl. He likes the name Rebecca, and I like the name Aidan. I found the name Aidan in two different baby name books, and both of them list it as a girl's name (of course it is spelled differently, but I think that the spelling Aidan is more girly). The problem is that most of the sites online list it as a boy's name. We're now talking about naming her Aidan Rebecca, and most people I have talked to like the sound of the two together. What does anyone else think?

I like the name Aidan alot. But IMO its a boy name.
What do you think of the name Kayden? I liked Aidan so much but was having a girl and wanted it to sound more girly so I named her Kayden. You could also spell it

Cayden Rebecca
Caden Rebecca
Kaidan Rebecca
Kaden Rebecca

Just some ideas.
Good luck

I'm one of those people who actually likes names that can go either way for a girl, though I think more people would probably see the name and think it was a boy (unless you put Aiden Rebecca on everything.) But if you like it, I say go for it. I did want to throw out there that I know someone who has a daughter named Ayla. I'd never heard it before but it's close to Aiden and is definitely a girl-sounding name.
