Thanks, I am considering Mary pretty seriously. I think it sounds fantastic with my last name. Of your suggestions, I like Mary Iris and Mary Scarlett the best. I actually spent quite a bit of time earlier today looking through a name book and came up with some possibilities:
Mary Emeline
Mary Doreanne (this is DH's grandmother's name, she's German)
Mary Ellen (also a family name, though I'm not crazy about it)
Mary Diana (this is my grandmother's name)
Mary Amelia
Mary Eleanor
Mary Irene
Mary Harper
Mary Rosalie
I don't intend to use the two names together, but I would still like them to sound nice together.
My last name is two syllables, is it a bad idea to have all three names have two syllables?
BTW, I LOVE your kids names. If this had been a boy, he would have been Henry Thomas (Thomas is DH's name)
Mary Emeline- yes, lovely
Doreanne -I don't love it, but I do love using family names
Mary Ellen-makes me think of the 70s show the Waltons
Mary Diana - like this one!
Mary Amelia-nice
Mary Eleanor- OK you know I'm going to like this one!
Mary Irene- LOVE this one-think it's my favorite
Mary Harper-very nice
Mary Rosalie- stunning
my top 3 mn are Irene, Emeline & then Rosalie
as for syllabels my boys & DH all 2-2-2
I hope you get a Henry Thomas some day, it
Andi
My favorite from your list is Alice!
