Jacob is WAY too common in my opinion, but your other boys have pretty common names too.

Jacob/Jakob nn Jake is cute, but popular.

With a son named Aidan, I would think you'd be much less concerned with commonality of a name. Aidan/Aiden and names rhyming with it are all pretty trendy/common. Jacob itself is the most popular/common boys' name, I believe, but the Jakob spelling is much less so.

It seems like boys don't mind having the same name as a classmate as much as girls do.

Hey MOM...Congrats.....

Sounds like you have some good names picked out, but I agree with the Jakob/Jacob being too familiar.

What about:

  • Cade Evan

  • Jaxon Cade

  • Asher Wynn

  • Ryton Scott

  • Kelton Alexander

  • Emery Jace

  • Everett Penn

It's funny because the year we named Aidan it wasn't even in the top 50 on the SS list.

Jacob is the most popular boys name in America for a few years running now, I believe. Jake is a great nickname, though. If the popularity of it doesn't bother you too much, go for it! But if it does, I have heard the name Jacoby - pronounced Ja-CO-by - recently (a major league baseball player, I think), and you could also get Jake from that. Good luck!

before we found out we were having a girl, jacob was on our boy list, but we also thought it was a bit too common. based on that, our two possibilities were jaxon and tyler. i dont know if either are your style, but i think either would go great with his brothers! good luck.
