Jason for a girl?

We want to honour a old and dear friend that recently passed away. His name was Jason. However I kinda like the name Jason for a girl. We would spell it differently than the normal Jason.
I prefer the spelling Jaisyn and we would have a very feminine middle name of course! I just love the idea of this or is this just the hormones talking!?!?!

Hello!
I actually quite like the name Jason for a girl, especially spelled differently. But then, I'm partial...my name is Mikal (pronounced Michael). :)
Whatever you feel is right for you and your family, I say go for it. I did hate my name when I was younger (so be prepared for that possibility), but as I've gotten older, I've grown to really appreciate and love it, especially because it's so different--no one forgets my name. :)
hello!! like the idea of honoring your old dear friend and all, but absolutely hate the idea of a little jaisyn-the spelling is awful and jason is 100% boy-im sorry-thats just how i feel. what about using the jay and putting it with something else-like
jayne
jayde
jayda
jailyn
or
jayna.
good luck!!

No way, don't like it at all for a girl, no matter how you change the spelling. I'm not a fan of names that end in "-yn" - way too trendy for my tastes. I understand the desire to honor a friend however.
What about Jacinda?
Jason is all boy to me. i would go with honoring with variant of Jay for a girl.
now, Jacyn, could be possible, saying as Jay-synn, not Jay-son. thru the ages people have feminized boy names. there could be, Jasina.. that's kinda cute, Jah-seen-ah, or Jasyne.. Jay-seen (similar to Maxine) how would you like, Jasina?
for Jay-girl anmes:
Jaden,
Javen,
Jasmine, (could be great nn Jace)
Jaley,
Jaci, Jacee, Jacie, (Jay-see- similar to Staci, Traci)
or even simply, Jane, Jayne, Jayna
